*Overview* We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, ensuring they leave feeling confident and satisfied. You will be responsible for creating stylish looks, maintaining cleanliness in the salon, and delivering outstanding customer service. If you have a flair for hair styling and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. *Duties* * Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client needs. * Sanitate tools and workstations to maintain a clean and safe environment. * Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide professional recommendations. * Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clients feel welcomed and valued during their visit. * Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and managing client records. * Engage in retail sales by recommending products that complement the services provided. * Upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance the client experience. *Requirements* * Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations. * Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills. * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. * Knowledge of retail sales techniques and experience in upselling products or services is preferred. * Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with clients. * Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. * Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including weekends and evenings as needed. Offering Commission Pay, Hourly Pay or Chair Rental Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship Pay: From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 15 per week Additional pay: * Commission pay * Tips Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * hair styling: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationEdmonton, AB
