We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to add to our team!
*Job Summary:*
The manufacturing engineering manager acts as a link between manufacturing and engineering while ensuring the information is flowing smoothly in both directions.
*Job Responsibilities:*
1. Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower manufacturing costs.
2. Lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Manufacturing Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project goals are met.
3. Oversee the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, capture redline changes, manage redline drawings, and ensure timely implementation.
4. Collaborate with design engineering teams to review and improve new designs for manufacturability and efficiency.
5. Develop, organize, and conduct orientation sessions for contractors and new hires, including preparation of onboarding materials.
6. Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections for both electrical and mechanical components, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
7. Support mechanical and basic electrical assembly processes by interpreting design models and providing solutions to the production floor.
8. Work with lead production teams to develop solutions for production challenges and design errors, contributing to the overall efficiency of plant operations, including fabrication and paint.
9. Collaborate with QA to perform root-cause analysis on quality issues and implement corrective actions across manufacturing processes.
10. Work with Engineering and Operations to design tools, jigs, and methods that improve the assembly process and product quality.
11. Partner with Project Managers to ensure assembly processes meet budget requirements and timelines.
*Job Qualifications:*
1. College Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, or a University Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
2. Minimum 3 years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience with SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, and ERP systems, with a minimum of two years of relevant usage.
4. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and problem-solving capabilities.
5. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and communicate technical information effectively.
