We extend our respect to all First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples for their valuable past and present contributions to this land.<p> <p><p> <p>Under the direction of the Speech Language Pathology Lead, the Speech Language Pathologist will:<p><p> <p> Evaluate and identify speech and language delays and disorders within the school population <p> <p> <p> Develop and consult on speech and language programs <p> <p> <p> Offer capacity building opportunities for education staff <p> <p> <p> Liaise and consults with outside agencies, parents/guardians, teachers, and specialists<p> <p> <p> Participate on Board and Department committees<p> <p> <p> Perform other duties, as assigned by the supervisor<p> <p><p><p> <p>The ideal candidate will have: <p><p> <p> A Master?s degree in Speech-Language Pathology<p> <p> <p> Current registration with the College of Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologists (CASLPO)<p> <p> <p> Two years of related experience <p> <p> <p> Experience with administering standardized tests <p> <p> <p> Proficiency with word processing and software packages for language development, augmentative and alternative communication, etc.<p> <p> <p> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<p> <p> <p> Organizational and time management skills<p> <p> <p> Initiative and the ability to work independently <p> <p> <p> A valid driver?s license and personal vehicle<p> <p><p><p> <p>This is a part-time (0.50 FTE) permanent assignment with an anticipated start date as soon as the recruitment process has been completed. The annual full time salary range for this role is $93,617 - $110,063 which will be prorated to reflect the FTE.
