*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of our applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet user needs and enhance overall user experience. *Duties* In this role, you?ll be joining a small but mighty team of two developers. Right off the bat, you?ll focus on front-end projects, bringing fresh functionality and a seamless user experience to life. Over time, you?ll expand into full-stack and back-end development, contributing to Optiml?s evolution. We?re looking for someone ready to make an immediate impact. If you?re a self-starter who?s confident in their skills, can jump right in without needing training on the basics, and is ready to put their experience to work, this role is for you. We want someone who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments, bringing their expertise to drive projects forward from day one *Skills* * Strong command of *HTML, CSS, and JavaScript*; experience with *ReactJS* (or a similar JS library) is essential. * Experience with *Node JS* * Solid experience with *Object-Oriented Programming*. * Skilled in *building RESTful APIs* and integrating with front-end systems. * *4+ years of hands-on software development* experience. * Experience with *AWS* (Lambda, CloudWatch, Amplify, etc.) to support scalable and reliable solutions. * Proficiency in *Git* for version control and experience with collaborative workflows. * *SQL knowledge* (MySQL or equivalent) to handle data effectively. * Understanding of the *Software Development Lifecycle*. * *Proficiency in Python* with experience in mathematical libraries (e.g., SciPy, Pandas, NumPy). * *(Bonus)*: Familiarity with nonlinear optimization algorithms and linear algebra concepts. *Other Details:* *This is an in-office position based in Halifax, so if you?re looking for remote work, this isn?t the right fit. *To streamline our selection process?and *boost your chances* of landing an interview?please be sure your resume clearly states that you?re currently based in Halifax or have plans to relocate here.
