<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong><em>Southwestern Manufacturing Inc.</em></strong> operates in a competitive global market producing wide-ranging metal-based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.</p><p>Increased over the years, our extensive plant capacity developed to cater for our multi-million-pound turnover is spread across four facilities manned by over 200 employees. It incorporates shot blasting, stress-relieving, fitting, welding, machining, non-destructive testing, final paint, right on through to our own logistics network, resulting in high-value finished items across many diverse sectors.</p><p>Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking 2 permanent full-time (minimum of 40 - 48 hours per week) <strong><em>INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC (Millwright) for a fabrication and machine shop.</em></strong> This dynamic individual may be any level of registered millwright apprentice (433A). The position is on the day shift but we typically operate on a rotating shift of days and afternoons. Due to the nature of this work, extra hours will be required as needed.</p><p><strong>Job Requirements</strong>:</p><p>- English language</p><p>- Manufacturing experience is an asset</p><p>- Knowledge of CNC repair is an asset</p><p>- Experience in a fabrication facility an asset</p><p>- Able to stand for extended periods of time</p><p>- Work within a fast-paced environment</p><p>- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines</p><p><strong>Duties</strong>:</p><p>- Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures</p><p>- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts</p><p>- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances</p><p>- Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments</p><p>- Perform predictive and operational procedures</p><p>- Repair or replace defective parts</p><p><strong>We offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wages</li></ul><ul><li>A comprehensive health benefits package including dental, life insurance, vision, and pension plan</li></ul><ul><li>Opportunity to progress in a growing company</li></ul><ul><li>Overtime after 40 hours per week</li></ul><p><em>We are committed to providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
