If you're like us, you are interested in learning about the amazing offering of local beers, wines, and spirits, and engaging with customers to help them make great choices! _*The successful candidate is available evenings, one weekend day, and can lift 25+ lbs regularly. *_ *We offer:* * $200 health & wellness benefit * Employee Assistance Program (free therapy from Vancouver Island Counselling) * Scholarship program for students * RRSP Matching * Monthly giveaways for Team Members * Dental + Extended Health Benefits after 3 months for team members working over 24 hours per week (100% employer paid) * 20% discount at 8 locations across the island * Tastings & product knowledge * Birthday gifts * Uniform reimbursement *POSITION SUMMARY* The Store Supervisor Position is responsible for providing a positive customer experience, creating attractive and creative displays, and continuously learning about our products. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* * Provides a high level of customer service by greeting customers and making memorable connections. * *Key holder*: Acts as leader of the store when management is not present * Responsible for opening and closing the store, including access to the safe, and store alarm. * *Cash management*: Oversees morning cash documents, till rotations, and reconciliations at the end of the day. * *Shift planning*: Creates and executes a plan for the shift, assigning tasks to staff and coordinating with other supervisors if present. * *Staff management*: Holds employees accountable, reviews dress code at the start of shifts, and provides feedback to management on staff performance. * *Issue resolution*: Handles customer service issues, theft prevention, and assists employees as needed. * *Record-keeping*: Maintains daily records in the Supervisor log, manages receiving records * *Communication*: Accesses the store email to communicate with head office and reps, staying updated on price changes or new signage. * *Product management*: Stock shelves, maintain orderly store, support merchandising display areas, may handle some ordering when relevant * *Customer orders*: Prepares delivery orders for customers * Operate equipment *KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED* * Previous cashier and customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, such as retail, hospitality, or food services * Availability to work weekends/evening shifts * Serving It Right certification * Cash handling *WORKING CONDITIONS* * Standing / Moving for 4-8 hours * Lifting and/or carrying merchandise up to 25lbs on a frequent basis * Lifting above the shoulder *Requirements:* * Must be 19+ years of age * Must have Serving it Right certification Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $20.20 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Bonus pay * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Flexible schedule * On-site parking * Paid time off * Store discount * Tuition reimbursement * Vision care * Wellness program Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Evening shift * Every Weekend * Weekends as needed Experience: * Customer service: 1 year (required) * supervisory: 1 year (preferred) Location: * Victoria, BC V8Y 2L3 (required) Work Location: In person- LocationVictoria, BC
