<p>Sales Associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates work in cooperation with their supervisors and other sales associates in various department. Specific store departments may include Lumber, Building Materials, Paint, Hardware, Electrical, Plumbing, Seasonal and Tool Rental.<br><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p><b><br>Ensures Customer Satisfaction</b></p><p>Following Home Depot?s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer</p><ul><li>Actively seek customers throughout the store and escort customers to appropriate merchandise, regardless of department</li><li>Ask open ended questions about the customer?s projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise</li><li>Promote services offered such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, Pro Services, etc. and how to recommend them</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Drives Sales</b></p><ul><li><span>Discuss available options (good, better, best) and suggest related items/services outside of department that the customer may need</span></li><li>Educate customers about the whole project</li><li>Using empowerment program when necessary to satisfy customers</li><li>Execute daily stock maintenance: all products signed, displayed, and clean</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Builds Skills and Knowledge</b></p><ul><li>Maintain knowledge of all products in department and adjacent departments</li><li>Proactively seek knowledge on all products and services</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Maintains Safety and Security</b></p><ul><li>Follows all safety policies and procedures, Loss Prevention policies and procedures</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Competencies:</b></p><ul><li>Communicates Effectively</li><li>Customer Focus</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Interpersonal Skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Direct Manager/Direct Reports:</b></p><ul><li>Department Supervisor</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Travel Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>No travel requirements</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Hybrid Work:</b></p><ul><li>Dependent</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>Working within a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekends</li><li>Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy</li><li>Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Minimum Education:</b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Minimum Years of Work Experience:</b></p><ul><li>1 to 2 years Retail or Trade experience an asset</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Minimum Leadership Experience:</b></p><ul><li>NA</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Certifications:</b></p><ul><li>NA</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b><br> Other Requirements/Assets:</b></p><ul><li>NA</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p><br></p>- LocationOrangeville, ON
