Archer Precision is a CNC Precision machine shop located in Ottawa ON that specializes in 5-axis machining for various industries including Mining, Aerospace, Military, and Communications. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time addition to our deburring/finishing department. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to production changes as necessary. *Job Responsibilities* - Deburring, Sanding, Polishing, and Cleaning of high quality metal and plastic components with tight tolerances, using a variety of hand tools and buffing wheels · Consulting technical drawings to ensure proper finishing requirements are met, and consulting with the quality department for clarification/validation when necessary · Maintaining necessary records in digital Work Orders · Following instructions, regulations and safety policies · Keeping the working area clean and organized · Performing other duties assigned by the production manager on an as-needed basis *QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION* · Experience deburring on parts that require tight tolerances in a manufacturing setting or machine shop is an asset · Fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement · Effectively communicate information with managers and other co-workers · Must be self-motivated, a team player with a willingness to learn new skills · Ability to stay alert and pay attention to the task · Able to work under pressure *ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS* - Background check, and security assessment for Controlled Goods Program will be required. - Experience with manual milling and turning machines would be an asset Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 42.5 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Location: * Ottawa, ON (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2021-08-18- LocationOttawa, ON
