We offer our clients access to valuable agricultural testing and benchmarking equipment as well as first-rate testing equipment for industry. *Position Summary:* Reporting to the Shop Lead, the incumbent provides mechanical and fabrication trades support services to applied research and development projects in the shop and in the field. *Duties and Responsibilities:* The following are the general duties of these positions but are not inclusive of all the detailed tasks that may be required. * Maintaining and repairing equipment * Troubleshooting mechanical issues * Data analysis to assess the performance of machinery * Ensuring machine safety and maintenance * Communicating with and supporting project managers and engineers * Provide technical support to projects with advanced level and wide range of variety in the lab and field * Basic interaction with clients * Reporting and documentation of issues and processes *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*: * Advanced knowledge of shop equipment use * General knowledge ? blueprint and work instruction reading/interpretation * Agricultural machinery operation is desirable * Problem solving skills ? troubleshooting issues * Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment *Credentials and Experience: * * Journeyperson trade * At least 10 years of relevant experience *Benefits:* * Competitive base salary * Annual Paid Vacation Leave * Pension Plan * Group Insurance Benefits * Employee and Family Assistance Program Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Company pension * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Wellness program Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationPortage la Prairie, MB
