POSITION: Intermediate Teacher - temporary <p> ASSIGNMENT: French Immersion (Gr 6-7) <p> FTE: 1.0 <p> LOCATION: École Red Bluff Lhtako <p> EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 13, 2024 until June 30, 2025 <p> Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following: <p> Training Specialization: Elementary Education with a specialization in French Immersion - Intermediate Level <p> Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching French Immersion at the Intermediate Level <p> A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff <p> Additional Qualifications: <p><p> Fluency in English/French - oral/written - applicant must be willing to take a language proficiency test - oral and written <p><p> <p> Other: <p><p> Proficiency in written and oral communication in French <p> Willingness to have an interview in French with the District's French Language Coordinator <p> Willingness to work as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan <p> Willingness to work as a member of the school-based team <p> Willingness to support whole school environmental initiatives <p> Commitment to school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program as a form of addressing behaviour in the classroom and the school as a whole <p> Fluent English and French Speaker <p> Willingness to support the school plan for student success <p> Willingness to work as part of the school-based team to implement plans for all students <p> A portion of the interview may be conducted in French <p><p>The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to 109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
