Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Relocation costs covered by employer. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Service attachments and working tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Licence (310S). Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system. Exhaust system. Powered equipment repair specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Pumps. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions. Drive trains and final drives. Hydraulic transmissions. Power take-offs. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Medical exam. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate.
