*Full Job Description*
We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers to ensure the fleet remains in optimal condition. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, identifying mechanical issues, and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and other truck components.
*Job Responsibilities*
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake adjustments, tire rotations, and fluid checks
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems, including engine malfunction, transmission failures, braking systems, and suspension issues
* Perform repairs and rebuilds of diesel engines and related systems to manufacturer specifications
* Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues
* Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job in the maintenance system
* Work with team members, including drivers and safety department, to provide optimal service

*Requirements and Skills*
* Certification in diesel mechanics or a related field in highly preferred
* Minimum two years if experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, brake systems, transmissions, and other mechanical components of heavy trucks
* Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service orders
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* A valid AZ class driver?s license is required
