We offer competitive wages, a benefits plan and the opportunity for career development as we continue to grow and shape our already well established services in the region. _*Role and Responsibilities:*_ * Provide impeccable customer service * Ensure the protection of people, assets and property * Monitor access of entryways and exit points using equipment at your disposal * Conduct preventive surveillance patrols according to established procedures * Prevent fire, theft and vandalism * Perform emergency response procedures * Verify and inspect safety equipment and facilities issues * Enforce the regulations in effect at our client's premises * Write detailed daily activity reports and incident reports * Assist with crowd monitoring and safety * Adhere to uniform and other regulatory requirements _*A successful candidate requires:*_ * A valid Ontario Security Guard License * A current standard first aid & CPR/AED Certification * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Proven de-escalation, relational and negotiation skills * A strong sense of situational awareness, attention-to-detail, and acute observational skills * A reliable mode of transportation _*An ideal candidate will have:*_ * A proactive approach to client management * A good sense of judgement and ?think first? reaction to emergency situations * A current and valid Ontario SmartServe Certification * Demonstrable experience in conflict resolution and issue management * An ability to remain calm and observe and report details under pressure * The ability to change and adapt quickly to ambiguity or ambiguous situations * Volunteer experience with vulnerable populations or community services _*Work Hours:*_ * Full Time (40-44 hrs / week) * Part Time (20 ? 24 hrs / week) * Casual (evenings / weekends) _*Work Locations:*_ * Client Sites Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Licence/Certification: * Ontario Security Guard License (required) Work Location: In person- LocationCobourg, ON
