This job position entails working with the operations team as an Outside Sales Representative. The Sales Representative is responsible for generating and establishing new relationships, as well as managing current relationships with our customers in the field. This position is accountable for leading and facilitating contact with key and target customers for selling company services.
Duties:
* Develops new clients through prospecting, networking, performing sales calls and travelling throughout the Edmonton area
* Presents and sells all our services to current and potential customers
* Upselling of key and target accounts to grow the revenues and market share within the account
* Develops and executes annual sales plans that meet or exceed revenue and margin targets
* Develops and manages business relationships at multiple levels within our key and target customers
* Stays connected to the local market conditions, communicating customer requirements and growth opportunities internally to our management team.
* Works with business unit administration to manage held invoices
* Assist in resolving service and operational issues with maintenance department, customers and staff;
* When needed jump on a truck to complete a route or aid in the route?s completion (an asset but not required);
* Create and produce necessary reports on all lines of business;
* Travel if required.
* Responsible for customer service, territory development, management and retention of accounts.
* Develop a comprehensive Leads List of competitor accounts through prospecting, scouting and cold-calling. Grow the defined territory with research and follow up on these leads.
* Foster strong business relationships with new and existing customers; ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
* Assist in managing territory Accounts Receivables.
* Working with other sales, operations and administrative staff in a team environment, but must be capable of working independently.
* Daily call reports
* Other duties as required
Requirements:
* Completion of secondary school (or GED equivalent);
* Valid Class 3 with air brakes and a clean abstract (an asset but not required);
* Excellent command of the English language (verbal/written);
* Prior supervisory and sales experience is preferred;
* Solid computer skills (MS Office; previous experience with Excel considered an asset and previous experience with Access preferred);
* Experience operating waste collection equipment is an asset;
* Individual should demonstrate initiative and self-motivation - self starter;
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
* Experience in the Industrial, Concrete, Environmental, and/or Waste Management Industry is an asset
* Ability to write customer letters, reports and proposals
* Ability to build strong customer relationships and work with a team
* Ability to travel
* Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
