Mill Valley Child Care Centre is hiring a RECE to work a child care centre. _*You must be registered with the College of ECE*_ Qualifications: * Knowledge of CCEYA, 2014, Early Learning Framework, How Does Learning Happen? and Emergent/Inquiry-based program, an asset. * Experience with the Toronto Children's Services Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI), an asset * Recent (within 6 months) Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening. * Physically able to participate in program with children inside and outside the classroom. * Sensitive and inclusive to the children and families? needs. * Able to work well within a team environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with children, parents and staff * Flexible and adaptable to changing environments. * Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, and caring attitude in the classroom. * Excellent communication skills - verbal and written * Well-developed problem-solving, conflict resolution skills and good judgement * Self-directed with proven commitment to contribute to the team * Inclusive and sensitive to the children?s and families? needs * Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, and caring attitude in the classroom * Guide children's behaviour in a positive manner and at a level that is appropriate to their actions and their ages in order to promote self discipline, ensure health and safety and respect the right of others * Ensure that all facilities, supplies and equipment are kept clean, safe and free of hazards * Set up and put away all equipment used during the course of the program, keeping everything tidy * Follow cleaning guidelines * Assist in children's toileting needs Qualifications * Registered RECE (in good standing) * Clear Criminal Reference check * Up-to-date Medical and Immunization * Up-to-date Standard First Aid & CPR AED +C Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 15 per week Application question(s): * Are you Registered with the College of ECE? * Do you live 15 mins from the center Work Location: In person- LocationEtobicoke, ON
