Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Dangerous. Noisy. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Work setting: Drilling and well service contractor. Rural area. Various locations. Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick. Drive well services truck to well site. Train floorhands, assistants and helpers . Attach pumps and hoses to wellhead. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Read gauges to interpret conditions and adjust pumping procedure. Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Standard First Aid Certificate. Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate. Rig Worker Fall Protection. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Experience: Experience an asset.
