<p>Position: Resource Teacher <p>Location: Brochet School <p>Start Date: As soon as possible<p>FTE: 1.00 FTE <p>Term of Employment: Permanent<p>Application Deadline: Open Until Filled<p> <p>The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more! <p> <p>Brochet School is a Nursery to Grade 9 school with approximately 135 students. Brochet is a picturesque and peaceful community located on the northeastern shore of Reindeer Lake. Access is via daily scheduled flights from Thompson, MB and by winter road. The community has a population of approximately 600 people with community services such as a Northern Store, nursing station, community hall/youth centre, baseball diamond and outdoor skating rink.<p> <p>Qualifications: <p><p> Bachelor of Education degree and preferably a Masters? Degree in Education or related field<p> Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)<p> Manitoba Special Education certificate or certification in progress<p> At least five years of teaching experience <p> Previous experience as a Resource Teacher<p> Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life<p> Excellent understanding of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction<p> Knowledge and training in formal and informal assessment<p> Familiar with appropriate educational programming<p> Ability to complete provincial documentation requirements for appropriate educational programming <p> Ability to interpret educational and cognitive assessments<p> Willingness to be trained in intervention programs presently in place <p> A commitment to continue to support on-going programs in the school<p> Strong verbal and written communication skills<p><p> <p> Applicants are required to submit the following:<p><p> cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicant?s performance in the applicant?s current or recent assignment<p><p> <p> <p><p>Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
