Spanish Teacher Burnaby North Secondary <p>Temporary Full-time: Effective November 18, 2024 to June 30, 2025 <p>As one of the largest, most progressive and diverse urban districts in the province, Burnaby provides comprehensive educational programs and services to a diverse population of 25,000 full-time and 17,000 part-time learners. The district operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, plus a number of additional facilities and district programs. <p>Burnaby School District invites applications from qualified Teachers for a temporary full-time position at Burnaby South Secondary, teaching Jr/Sr Spanish. <p>Required Teacher Qualifications: <p><p> A Bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in an appropriate field of study; <p> A relevant methodology course <p> A valid BC Teaching Certificate <p> Knowledge of a broad range of effective instructional strategies in order to meet the diverse needs of all students; <p> Knowledge of consultative and collaborative strategies; and <p> Recent, successful, substantive teaching or practicum experience in the relevant grade level <p><p>LANGUAGES Qualifications: <p><p> A Bachelor of Arts degree or academic equivalent <p> Demonstrated fluency and facility in English and applicable second language <p> Courses at the 300/400 level equal to 18 credits in a relevant language such as French, Spanish, German, Japanese or Mandarin <p> A relevant methodology course <p><p>Application Details :<p>Your application should include your resume, cover letter, a copy of your BC Teachers' Certificate, a copy of your transcripts, a copy of your final practicum report, and a statement of your philosophy.
