We extend our respect to all First Nations, Inuit and Mtis Peoples for their valuable past and present contributions to this land.<p>The Ottawa Catholic School Board invites applications from candidates interested in being considered for the International & Indigenous Languages Secondary Program teaching and supply teaching positions, which may become available during the 2024-2025 school year. These credit teaching positions are for Levels 1 to 3 (gr. 9 to 12) on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 32 Saturdays from September to June. Please note that staffing is based on student enrollment and classes may be offered in-person, virtually, or both.<p>Location and Languages: St. George, 130 Keyworth Ave. - Russian;Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Registered with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold a Certificate of Qualification (or equivalent) in the Intermediate/Senior divisions;<p> Teaching experience;<p> Must have knowledge of and fluency of the language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing);<p> For ASL only - Knowledge of and fluency of American Sign Language, Deaf culture and needs of Deaf in Hearing/Deaf Cultural settings; Comfortable teaching online. Some training and support to teach online is available. In addition, the following will be considered an asset: Previous experience working with children and/or youth; <p> Good computer skills (Google Apps, Microsoft Office) and knowledge of online Learning and/or Meeting tools;Compensation: $49.24 per hour plus 4% vacation pay How to Apply: All applications must be submitted through Apply to Education.
