At Pan Pacific Toronto, a premier hotel featuring 405 well-appointed rooms and 24,000 square feet of versatile conference and event space, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Housekeeper.
This key leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of our housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring impeccable cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and efficiency.
Operating within a unionized environment, the Executive Housekeeper will maintain the highest standards of hygiene while optimizing cost management and supporting our commitment to exceptional service.
*Position Start Date:*
Late November or early December.
*Eligibility Requirements:*
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Canada. This includes Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or those with a valid work permit that allows full-time employment. *Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead, train, and manage a dedicated team of housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring compliance with union guidelines and fostering a positive work environment.
* Oversee daily operations to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards across 405 guest rooms, public areas, and conference spaces.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure smooth room turnover and readiness for guests and events.
* Implement effective staff training programs focusing on safety, cleanliness, and guest service excellence, ensuring adherence to best practices.
* Manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and supplier relationships, identifying opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
* Take a hands-on approach when needed, providing support to the team during peak periods or special projects, and ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
* Prepare and present regular reports on department performance, including guest feedback, room readiness, and budget tracking.
*Skills & Qualifications:*
* Proven experience in a housekeeping management role, ideally within a large hotel or conference facility.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and budget management skills.
* Experience working in a unionized environment, with a clear understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
* Hands-on leadership style, with the ability to build strong team relationships and promote a positive work environment.
* Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and payroll management software (e.g., ADP).
