*Job Description:* As a Hairstylist at JouJou Hair Studio, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch hair care and styling services tailored to clients with a wide range of hair types. Your creativity, technical skills, and ability to connect with clients will be key to your success in this role. *Key Responsibilities:* *Hair Care and Styling:* Provide expert hair care and styling services, including haircuts, coloring, blowouts, chemical treatments, and hair extensions, suitable for all hair types. *Consultation:* Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their hair type, preferences, and styling goals. *Customization:* Tailor services to meet the unique needs of each client, taking into consideration hair texture, length, and desired outcome. *Product Knowledge:* Stay up-to-date with the latest hair care products, tools, and techniques to recommend and use the most suitable products for each hair type. *Client Education:* Educate clients on proper hair care techniques and recommend at-home maintenance products and routines. *Sanitation and Cleanliness:* Adhere to strict sanitation and hygiene standards, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all tools and workstations. *Customer Service:* Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and comfortable salon experience for clients. *Team Collaboration:* Collaborate with fellow stylists and salon staff to maintain a positive and professional work environment. *Continuing Education:* Stay informed about industry trends, attend training sessions, and pursue advanced certifications to continually enhance your skills. *Qualifications:* * Hairstyling license (preferred but not necessary) * Proven experience as a hairstylist with expertise in working on diverse hair types. * Strong understanding of various hair textures, styles, and treatments. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Creative flair and a passion for hairstyling. * Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment. * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. * Dedication to client satisfaction and building lasting relationships * Familiar w/ braiding, protective skilling & relaxer a plus! Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Apprenticeship Pay: $17.20-$50.00 per year Additional pay: * Commission pay * Tips Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking * Store discount Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 12 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Every Weekend * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Etobicoke, ON M8W 3V7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * hair styling: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationEtobicoke, ON
