The Avon Maitland District School Board invites applications for the <p>following Long-Term Assignment <p>Engage, Inspire, Innovate Always Learning<p>The Avon Maitland District School Board is a full-service, public, English school district in southwestern Ontario, bordering Lake Huron and covering the counties of Huron and Perth. Nestled in the heart of Southwest Ontario, Huron and Perth Counties are a study in contrasts. Lush, rural farmland and backcountry roads intersect with historic architecture, arts, culture, and the newest culinary trends.<p>In the geographical center of this thriving region is Avon Maitlands Education Centre in Seaforth. The Boards Administrative Offices are located here, and they contain the central support for 31 elementary and 8 secondary schools, approximately 1600 teachers and 900 support staff. Additional information regarding the Board is available on the Boards website at https://www.amdsb.ca/.ASSIGNMENT:1.0 FTE - FSL <p>Candidates with FSL qualifications, experience, or willingness to teach FSL will be considered for this position. Candidates with FSL qualifications and/or experience will be given preference.<p>Required Qualifications <p> Must hold the required divisional qualifications, as noted above, in order to be eligible for this position;<p> Membership with the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing;<p> Demonstrated experience in the assigned duties of a teacher as outline in Regulation 298: Operation of Schools;<p> Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);<p> Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;<p> Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products;How to Apply <p> Candidates who are interested in the above mentioned position are asked to apply via amdsb.simplication.com and include an updated cover letter and resume with the submission.
