The Support Worker empowers the client(s) to perform all aspects of daily living as independently as possible, providing support and intervention where necessary *Qualifications:* Recent related experience working with the brain injured or other disabled population * Current certification and documents in the following areas: emergency first aid or equivalent, CPR level A. * Relevant post secondary education or equivalent combination of education, training and experience * Proficient in written and spoken English * The use of a personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and other outings. *Schedule:* * Client Sessions are typically Mon - Fri, and booked between 8 am - 6 pm *The successful applicant for this position will be required to provide the following documentation:* * Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License (Class 5 learners, Class 7, and International Drivers Licenses are *not* acceptable) * An acceptable 5 year Driving History Report from ICBC * Proof of Covid 19 Vaccination * Proof of a recent Negative Tuberculosis Test * A Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR Level A * Proof of any related Diplomas, or other Education Certificates * The Contact Information for at least 3 employment references Job Type: Casual Pay: $27.92 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Support Worker: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Class- 5 BC Driver's License (required) * Emergency First Aide Certificate (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationMaple Ridge, BC
