As a key member of the maintenance team the Electrician is responsible for the following but not limited to; maintain and troubleshoot automated production equipment & mechanical components used for the manufacture of dairy products. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant working environment for all employees.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years? experience in a Maintenance role. Industrial Electrician trade certificate as well as relevant experience working with PLC controlled machinery
Experience and knowledge on basic TIG welding & fabricating with steel and stainless steel is considered an asset.
Experience with machine troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
Hands on troubleshooting experience and working knowledge of pneumatics, control circuits, PLC controls and mechanical components.
* Ability to work at various heights.
* Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job.
Experience with SAP, Microsoft office (Excel, Word etc.) Good reading, communication (oral and written) and Interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team based environment.
Recent experience in the food and beverage industry is considered as an asset
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all production and packaging equipment and auxiliary equipment of the plant.
* Complete all assigned work orders completely and accurately document and returned to Maintenance Manager all information describing the completion of the work order
* Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories
* Work with production teams to identify process improvements wherever possible
* Work to maximize plant efficiencies, reduce costs and maintain product quality
* Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
* Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate and weld parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery
* Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
* Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
* Report to management any conditions or practice that adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
* Utilization of all technical skills required to perform tasks related to dismantling, instillation, repair, testing, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
* Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic control circuits, electrical circuits and mechanical machine failures and issues.
* Troubleshooting and repair of various PLC systems and programs (Allen Bradley).
* Perform and participate in preventative maintenance and repair on all production equipment to minimize downtime.
* Completing all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format.
* Perform all work in a safe manner following all company's safety policies and procedure
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $41.99 per hour
