*Overview*
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and helping manage kitchen staff. You should have a passion for creative, high-quality cuisine and a strong attention to detail. Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is prequired. *Reports to: * Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine
*Education: *Not required but at least 5 years industry experience is necessary & education or furthering education in Culinary Management is an asset.

*Responsibilities*
· Assist Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef to oversee daily operations of the kitchen
· Collaborate with Owners, Chef de Cuisine and Sous chef on menu planning, designing and execution.
· Assists in ensuring proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation standards are met in kitchen.
· Ensures prep lists are being properly fulfilled by staff on shift.
· Assists in supervising kitchen personnel and ensure quality and consistency levels are met at all times
· Maintain a respectful tone and ensure a high level of professional behaviour is maintained with all staff.
· Assist in monitoring waste levels
· Help develop and maintain/evolve cleaning checklists to ensure health code is met.
· Assist in training new staff members

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 ? 44 per week
