Education Assistant <p> <p>The Burnaby School District is seeking qualified Education Assistants for temporary assignments.<p> <p> Education Assistants are responsible for providing support for students in and out of the classroom, and within the community. Specifically, assistance is provided in the following:<p>? Behaviour management<p>? Curriculum implementation<p>? Social skills development<p>? Personal care<p>? Physical assistance<p> <p> <p>Required Qualifications: <p>? Successful completion of a recognized program in special needs assistance (eg. Education Assistant Program);<p>? One (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of training and/or<p>experience;<p>? Good verbal and written communication skills;<p>? Physical ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job <p> <p> <p> This position is a 10-month (school term) position working 27.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm .
