<p><span>We are looking for a Department Manager, Equipment and Building Maintenance, reporting to the Manufacturing/Maintenance Manager, Valcourt Operations, to lead the teams that carry out BRP’s equipment and building maintenance work in Valcourt.<span> </span></span></p> <p><b><span>YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:</span></b></p> <ul> <li><span>Lead a team of general supervisors and maintenance planning team leaders who are responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and buildings at various Valcourt sites, and the non-stock warehouse management team.</span></li> <li><span>Make forecasts and achieve established budget targets.</span></li> <li><span>Coach and develop your team in line with best practice and sound management of building and grounds equipment.</span></li> <li><span>Work in partnership with various department heads at different sites, including Production, Industrial Engineering, the Research & Development centre, Electric Vehicles and other sites.</span></li> <li><span>Establish a long-term strategic vision by adapting maintenance services to the reality of a constantly evolving business.</span></li> <li><span>Monitor performance indicators and update the scorecard.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure the execution of planned work by working closely with the supervisory and planning team.</span></li> <li><span>Draw up and/or facilitate equipment durability plans for buildings and grounds.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and obligations.</span></li> </ul> <p><b><span>YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:</span></b></p> <ul> <li><span>Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in industrial engineering or industrial maintenance technology or equivalent. Any other combination of relevant training and experience will also be considered.</span></li> <li><span>At least 3 years of experience in maintenance management.</span></li> <li><span>An excellent communicator and team player who has good influencing skills.</span></li> <li><span>The ability to delegate and develop your team.</span></li> <li><span>Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in line with a partnership approach (Human Resources/Labour Relations Committee/Management). </span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Guide Ti.</span></li> <li><span>Good knowledge of plant and building maintenance.</span></li> <li><span>The ability to communicate fluently in French and English, both verbally and in writing.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>ACKNOWLEDGING THE POWER OF DIVERSITY</strong></p> <p><span>BRP is dedicated to nurturing a culture that invites, connects, and propels the ambitions of people of all backgrounds, profiles, beliefs and experiences.
