Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools. Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs. Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials. Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials. Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Manual dexterity. Overtime required. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.- LocationNorth York, ON
