Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Tasks: Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care. Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Area of specialization: Geriatrics. Palliative care. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Tuberculosis test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
