Reporting to the Public Works Manager, this role will appeal to the candidate who enjoys applying their extensive knowledge of purchasing and inventory control to a broad range of processes. The incumbent will perform purchasing related to civil works and safety items; handle all aspects of shipping, receiving, and inventory control; oversee the municipal fleet?s fuel dispensing system; and manage the first aid records for Public Works.Our Preferred Candidate:The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma supplemented by completion of a recognized purchasing course, experience with accounts payable, and two years of related experience. Additionally, a class 5 driver?s licence and certification in first aid level 1, WHMIS, and forklift operation are required.
