We are currently seeking a AS/400 COBOL Developer - Remote to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA). We are seeking an AS400/IBMi Developer who is excited about building inventory, supply chain and warehouse management systems that enable us to always fulfill our customers' needs. In short, we are looking for people who are eager to help create the future of the given customer! Your primary responsibility will be to maintain legacy retail technology systems as you add features critical to our warehouse associate & customer experience. The right candidate will have the technical aptitude to make safe and well tested code changes within complex Cobol/IBM i5 systems. Success in this role will be measured by the team's effective maintenance of the existing system as well as delivery of new functionality. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering consistently quality code and processes. Responsibilities Build, test, deploy, and maintain your COBOL code on IBM i5 system Implement and Monitor analytics to ensure the correctness of the business process Contribute to team-wide tech objectives (beyond just the goals assigned to you). Participate in cross-functional projects in an agile environment Scope, decompose, and organize projects for yourself and coordinate with teammates. Generate time estimates with reasonable accuracy to help determine project timelines. Support standard development practices across your team, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns, and Test driven development Minimum Qualifications 5+ Years of production experience with IBM i5 English Language proficiency. Clear verbal communication, and strong written communication skills. Proficiency with AS400/IBM i5 COBOL CL DB2 SQL/Query Change control - Implementer software Solid grasp of data integration patterns, designing auditable systems for reliability (systems that process & report on millions of transactions) Preferred Qualifications Experience in Inventory, Supply Chain, Warehousing or Logistics domains Experience with DB2 data analysis , some familiarity of data pipelines 8+ years of experience Additional Skill Requirements for AS400/IBMi File creation (PF,LF,DSPF) FTP PTF Program Temporary Fix EDI preferably OpenText Trusted Link Job scheduler Query Rocket software - mirroring data replication About NTT DATA NTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
