Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Outdoors. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Residential. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Carpenter Trade Certification. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Work with minimal supervision. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate.
