Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Services for the homeless. Work setting: Various locations. Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Administrative and office activities. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Target audience: Aboriginal groups. Adolescents. Culturally diverse groups. Elderly. Females. Males. Persons with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Persons with mental health disabilities. Street population. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer.
