Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.</strong> <br> <br> The Manager Fleet Transactions -Technical will play an integral role in executing Air Canada's commercial and fleet strategies by managing all technical aspects of aircraft transactions. As member of the deal team, the successful candidate will engage in aircraft sourcing and retirement, including lease deliveries, redeliveries, purchases and sales and will be responsible for the management of Aircraft OEM contracts and technical Aircraft Lease covenants, including Lessor inspections, audits and aircraft lease reporting requirements. <br> <br> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong> <br> <br> <strong>Program Management</strong> <ul> <li> Manage on time aircraft deliveries and redeliveries within the approved budget </li> <li> Develop financial forecast based on contractual obligations for aircraft transaction budgets </li> <li> Manage internal and external resources required to support fleet transaction activities </li> <li> Complete aircraft transaction deals on a timely basis, ensuring key decisions are made, as required. </li> <li> Evaluate aircraft acquisitions and identify any modifications to the aircraft that may be required to meet our commercial and regulatory obligations </li> <li> Develop aircraft transaction programs, including program scope, determination of milestones, identification of critical paths and establishment of timelines for aircraft introductions, returns and sales programs </li> <li> Develop consultant resource requirements and establish a database of qualified resources to support aircraft introductions, returns and sales programs and monitor consulting resource costs </li> <li> Oversee the execution of the overall integrated fleet renewal plan for Air Canada and its regional carriers. </li> <li> Lead the inspection of aircraft at various stages of negotiation with Lessors, negotiate with Lessors' technical representatives and resolve all issues which arise in the interpretation of the relevant aircraft lease documentation </li> <li> Ensure alignment of cross-functional teams and proactive escalation to overcome problems and prevent adverse consequences such as significant delays or unexpected cost overruns </li> <li> Contribute to the development of standards, policies and protocols relating to aircraft transaction programs through the development of reporting tools, risk assessments and overall program performance metrics for senior management </li> </ul> <strong>Commercial</strong> <ul> <li> Lead commercial contract negotiations by providing technical recommendations for LOI and new aircraft leases, extensions or amendments, aircraft financing, purchases and sales of aircraft, with a main focus on delivery / return conditions and all maintenance to be performed during the term and mitigation of risk. </li> <li> Evaluate and coordinate cost saving opportunities for major maintenance events related to airframe and engines based on lease agreement return conditions and end of lease financial adjustments </li> <li> Oversee aircraft and engine evaluations and provide strategic technical recommendations relating to Air Canada's long term fleet plan </li> <li> Lead and Coordinate aircraft and engine lease activities to meet commercial objectives </li> <li> Generate technical specifications documentation packages for existing aircraft </li> <li> Prepare and review digital packages for Commercial & Marketing aircraft campaigns to support aircraft sourcing activities <ul> <li> Manage pre-purchase asset/lease review, inspections, and perform technical due diligence of prospective assets. </li> <li> Negotiate and finalize Aircraft OEM's contracts relating to aircraft retrofit modifications </li> <li> Collabo
