Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Load and unload goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Organized. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for newcomers and refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees .
