We are accepting applications for:
*Sports Medicine Administrative Assistant*
*Permanent, Part-Time*
*SUMMARY OF DUTIES:*
The Sports Medicine Administrative Assistant is knowledgeable about clinic operations, policies, telephone etiquette, computer database, electronic patient files, and positive community relations. Assists physicians and other allied health professionals in running weekly clinics, accurately tracks and records patient files, assists the Office Administrator in scheduling new and follow up appointments, sends and responds to patient referrals.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Assist with escorting patients from waiting room, completing the patient health questionnaire, and taking consent for treatment plans.
* Conducting patient assessments, which include but are not limited to fittings for custom/non-custom bracing and compression stockings.
* Collaborating with professional clinic staff to develop personalized patient treatment plans.
* Preparing prescriptions for medications, physio and massage therapy, orthotics, compression stockings, etc. under physician guidance.
* Preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms between patients, preparing injection trays for physicians.
* Assist with the tracking and ordering of supplies, developing and conducting marketing and promotional initiatives.
* Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, garbage, and recycling.
* Provide support and coverage in the absence of team members, or during peak times, including front desk reception duties.
*QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:*
* Office Administration diploma/certificate or equivalent.
* Minimum three (3) years' experience working at a medical practice or hospital.
* Demonstrated professional, friendly, and polite phone etiquette.
* Proficient in the utilization of clinic data management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience utilizing Accuro EMR software an asset.
*COMPENSATION AND OTHER INFORMATION:*
Location: London, Ontario
Start Date: October 22, 2024
Hourly Rate: From $20.00/hour
Hours per Week: Part-time
