Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD). Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD). Analyze technical documents and reports. Tender contracts. Assist in supervising construction projects. Prepare working drawings. Write specifications. Assist in design development. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CADD Course. Membership in the Provincial Association of Architects. Computer and technology knowledge: Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Photoshop. AutoCAD. SketchUp. InDesign. Area of work experience: Design. Architectural specialization: Commercial and/or industrial construction. Interior and space planning. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Initiative. Organized. Team player.
