Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Corrections. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Administrative and office activities. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Perform administrative tasks. Liaise with the inmates' families and contacts in the community. Advise and counsel inmates regarding their problems. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Implement behaviour management programs. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Supervision: 16-20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Cultural Awareness Training. First Aid Certificate. Target audience: Aboriginal groups. Females. Males. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Enhanced reliability security clearance. Criminal record check. Child welfare check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
