Visit www.norwoodwindows.ca or check out our Facebook and Instagram pages (@NorwoodWindowsDoors). *Job Description:* We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical systems. *Responsibilities: * * Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. * Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. * Perform welding, fabrication, and machining as needed. * Collaborate with other maintenance staff, production staff, and outside contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance projects. * Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment maintenance history through maintenance logs * Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. * Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics as needed. * Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. *Requirements: * * Technical diploma or certification in industrial mechanics preferred. * Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar role. * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, HVAC, and general plumbing. * Knowledge of woodworking and millwork equipment is an asset. * Have a working understanding of electrical circuitry and electronic controls. * Electrical and electronics controls experience and accreditations are assets. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Familiarity with safety practices in an industrial environment. * Must be willing to wear PPE when required (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, etc.) * Fall arrest training (an asset) * Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime. * Fluent in English * Fluent in French (an asset) *What We Offer:* * Competitive wages * Casual dress code * Comprehensive Benefits Package (dental, health, vision & drug coverage) * Life and AD&D Insurance * On-site parking * Opportunity for advancement *How to Apply:* Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience to sarah.hickey@norwoodwindows.ca.
