*Job Summary*
We are seeking an *experienced *and highly skilled, personable Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-office operations, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing outstanding patient service. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Patient Greeting:* Warmly welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression and providing exceptional customer service.
* *Appointment Scheduling:* Manage and coordinate patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations. Optimize the schedule to maximize office efficiency.
* *Check-In/Check-Out:* Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying personal information, updating records, and processing payments.
* *Billing and Payments:* Assist with patient billing, including processing payments and handling insurance co-payments. Address any billing inquiries or concerns.
* *Insurance Coordination:* Verify patient insurance benefits, process claims, and follow up on outstanding claims. Liaise with insurance companies to resolve issues.
* *Record Management:* Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and office policies.
* *Administrative Tasks:* Perform various administrative duties such as managing phone calls, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
* *Communication:* Serve as the main point of contact for patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone. Provide information about dental services and procedures as needed.
* *Team Support:* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and provide support as needed to enhance patient care.
*Qualifications:*
* *Education:* High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in dental office management or administration is a plus.
* *Experience:* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar front-office role, with a solid understanding of dental office procedures.
* *Skills:* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency in dental office software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* *Knowledge:* Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance processes, and patient management systems. Understanding of patient privacy laws and regulations.
* *Attributes:* Professional demeanor, ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient service.
