Test equipment to locate transmission faults. Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment. Complete and maintain test and service reports. Determine nature, cause and location of trouble. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Splice, join and connect wires. Repair or replace defective telephone equipment. Equipment and machinery experience: Coaxial line. Fibre optics. Copper. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Ability to distinguish between colours. Handling heavy loads.
