*Hours: *Regular Full-Time (7 hours/day)
*Annual Salary Range: *$45.19 - 54.43 per hour depending on qualifications

_*Purpose of Position*_
The Pembina Trails School Division?s Learning and Information Technologies Department oversees all technology throughout its 36 schools and administrative offices.
Working with schools, division support staff and IT staff, the Programmer/Analyst supports applications and reports in multiple programing languages and formats, as well as databases in SQL Server. The Programmer/Analyst leads projects to analyze, design, develop, deploy, and maintain solutions. The Programmer/Analyst also develops, implements, and oversees development practice and procedure, with particular emphasis on architecture, coding standards, and quality assurance.
_*Key Responsibilities*_
_Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:_
* Act as primary architect and developer for internal applications and a primary contact for communicating with third-party application service providers.
* Work with schools, administration, and IT Department staff to determine, document, and validate business requirements.
* Analyze, deploy and maintain cloud-based applications.
* Design and develop applications that integrate with other enterprise systems and third-party products.
* Participate in applications infrastructure projects.
* Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing solutions.
* Provide Level II support (post-Help Desk) for application, reporting, and database issues.
* Collaborate with schools and administrative staff to develop and maintain an effective application governance program.
* Provide training to schools and IT Department staff.
* Research emerging development tools and strategies.
* Research potential technology solutions in support of new educational priorities, initiatives, and opportunities.
* Perform other duties as may be assigned to support the efficient operation of the Department.
_*Skills and Qualifications*_
Skill and Knowledge ? Required:
* College diploma or university degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience developing applications with ASP/ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS and XSLT.
* Experience in SQL Server or equivalent databases.
* Excellent planning and facilitating skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to present ideas and solutions in school-friendly language.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail.
Skill and Knowledge ? Desired:
* IT-specific certifications such as ITIL, MCP, or MCDBA
* Experience developing and maintaining reports with Crystal Reports and or i-net Clear
* Experience analyzing and documenting business processes
* Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws including Manitoba's FIPPA and PHIA
* Experience working in K-12 education
* Experience with project management
* Experience with Power BI
