*SUMMARY:*
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes.
This position required excellence in both verbal and written communication in English and Korean (preferred).
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included, but not limited to):*
* Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
* Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end close procedures.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
* Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
* Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
* Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
* Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.
* Manages government filings including HST, EHT, WSIB, payroll remittances, and T4 forms.
*REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:*
* Have completed a University degree in commerce, business, or accounting
* Completed Canadian CPA designation
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
* Strong leadership and managerial skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
* Extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis.
* In-depth knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
