<p>Reporting to the President, General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for directing,<br />planning and controlling the activities of the projects assigned to him/her in order to deliver the projects to<br />clients according to contractual requirements and in compliance with established deadlines and budgets. He/she<br />must ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with what was tendered.<br />Together with the group leader, he/she is responsible for the success and profitability of each of the<br />projects under his/her responsibility.<br />Level of authority<br />The following positions report to the incumbent:<br />Group leaders<br />Tasks and responsibilities:<br />Estimation component</p><p>Performs a weekly check in the SEAO virtual plan room to<br />know the projects available and of interest to the organization and analyze them with a view to<br />submitting a bid.<br />? Receives requests for bids from clients, analyzes the projects and verifies their<br />feasibility (requirements, processes, prescribed deadlines) in order to decide whether or not to<br />submit a bid.<br />? Analyzes the documents, plans and specifications provided, conducts a site visit if<br />necessary, conceptualizes the stages of work, identifies the needs in<br />equipment, tools and materials, etc., the quantities and labor costs<br />to estimate the actual costs of carrying out the project.<br />? Conducts, if necessary, a site visit to note the specifications of the project to be<br />bid and ensures compliance with the rules regarding health and safety at work on<br />sites<br />? Takes measurements of quantities and materials on the plans and the needs in<br />equipment, tools and materials, the quantities and labor costs<br />? Communicates as needed with certain suppliers and subcontractors to obtain<br />technical information or make price requests for the design of<br />bids and, if necessary, negotiates the costs.<br />? Analyzes the content of bids received from suppliers and subcontractors, verifies their<br />compliance with the expected requirements of the bid and transposes the final<br />data into its bids.<br />? Prepares bids using the applicable tool by integrating the costs of<br />materials, equipment, tools, labor and other applicable costs (administration and profit<br />costs).? Ensures compliance with the laws and standards in force applicable to its sector and the<br />standards prescribed by the company (e.g.: sale price, delivery time, etc.) and the deadline<br />for closing calls for tenders if applicable in the exercise of bids.<br />? Presents any bid with a value equal to or greater than $500K to the President,<br />General Manager for validation and final approval before sending to the clients.<br />? Sends the submission to clients within the prescribed time frame, ensuring that all required<br />documents are included in the submission.<br />? Follows up on any submission sent to clients within a maximum of<br />48 hours aimed at securing the contract and updates the<br />Submission Tracking Table (registration, acceptance or refusal, reasons for refusal) for analysis<br />? Keeps the Submission Tracking Table up to date and follows up on any submission<br />sent to clients within a maximum of 48 hours aimed at securing the<br />contract.<br />? Ensures that the price list of suppliers and subcontractors is updated<br />? Ensures that the client?s Purchase Order is received upon approval of the<br />submission on their part for the opening of the project.<br />Project Management Component projects<br />? Ensures the project is included in the production schedule.<br />? Submits for approval the technical sheets and other documents required by the<br />contracting authority.<br />? Prepares and places purchase orders with subcontractors if applicable and with<br />suppliers for the purchase of materials and transmits a copy of his/her purchase orders<br />to accounting for subsequent verificat- LocationMontréal, QC
