Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role at Unitravel Canada Ltd. located in Winnipeg, MB. The position we are hiring for is unique and specialized due to its dual focus on IT and the education sector. We are seeking an individual as Systems Development Manager, who will play a critical role in our operations. This individual will be responsible for managing and optimizing our web application portal while also acting as the primary liaison between our company and recruitment agencies.
Key aspects of the role include:
* *Technical Oversight:* The candidate will leverage their IT skills to ensure the functionality, reliability, and continuous improvement of our web application portal. This involves analyzing system performance, implementing updates, and resolving technical issues to maintain a seamless user experience.
* *Client Relationship Management:* In their capacity as an Account Manager, the candidate will cultivate and manage relationships with recruitment agencies. They will be responsible for addressing inquiries, providing detailed information about our portal, and ensuring that our services meet the needs of our partners.
* *Industry Expertise:* With a deep understanding of the education sector, the candidate will bridge the gap between technology and educational processes. This expertise is crucial for tailoring our portal to meet the specific needs of colleges, universities, and recruitment agencies across Globe.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) departments, ensuring effective planning, organization, direction, and evaluation.
* Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to electronic data processing and the development and management of computer systems.
* Manage and control the budget and financial expenditures for the department, company, or specific projects.
* Recruit, supervise, and mentor computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians, and other staff, focusing on their professional growth and training.
Qualifications
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* In-depth knowledge of software development processes and methodologies
* Ability to analyze technical requirements and design efficient solutions
* Experience with a variety of programming languages and platforms
* Deep understanding of the education sector
* Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field
