The Dietary Aide, under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, provides meal services to residents and assists with daily activities as directed by the Kitchen Department, in accordance with all internal and external regulatory standards.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Prepare and set up food, condiments, and table service during each shift.
* Serve meals to residents who need assistance or request it, either in the dining room or in designated areas.
* Perform cleaning and organizing tasks at the end of the shift.
* Provide high-quality service to residents, ensuring dietary needs are met.
* Perform all other related duties as assigned.
*SKILLS & ABILITIES*
* Fluent verbal communication skills in both English and French.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding resident information.
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
* Demonstrates good organizational skills, autonomy, initiative, and creativity.
* Patience and compassion when interacting with residents.
* Positive and friendly attitude.
* Passion for working with seniors.
*EDUCATION*
* Dietary Food Service Worker certification or equivalent.
* *Food Handling Certification* is required.
*EXPERIENCE*
* Minimum of one year of recent experience in a similar role or relevant life experience involving similar duties.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*
* Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach without restrictions.
* Must be able to lift up to 10 kilograms comfortably.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $18.38-$20.70 per hour
