Job details
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Ophthalmic or optical laboratory. Tasks: Administer eye drops, ointments and medications as directed by ophthalmologists. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Maintain inventory of equipment. Prescribe and administer medications and treatments. Perform specialized eye tests to measure and assess defective binocular vision or abnormal eye movement in patients. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Obtain specifications for eyeglasses and contact lenses from a prescription prepared by an ophthalmologist or optometrist. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Experience: Experience an asset. Financial benefits: Commission. Other benefits: Parking available.- LocationDelta, BC
