Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: General manufacturing. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Equipment and machinery experience: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Repetitive machining operation experience: Turning. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
