Coordinator / Team Lead - Human Resources Operations<p>Non Affiliated <p>COMP # 3833659<p>The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is looking to hire an experienced Human Resources professional to lead our HR Operations (HRMS) team. As a pivotal member of the OCSB Human Resources team, you will contribute to the HR teams priorities with your knowledge and decision-making skills, and your deep understanding of employee relationships, payroll, benefits, and technical skills. The Team Lead of HR Operations will report to the Manager of Human Resources. Responsibilities Include: <p> Lead and develop a high performing and responsive HR Operations team to effectively support the Boards employees in compensation, benefits, sick leave and leave administration <p> Lead the team in efficiently managing day-to-day operational components of the HR Operations (HRMS) function <p> Maintain effective working relationships with Board management and staff by communicating HR best practices, adherence to policies and procedures, employment standards, laws, and regulations <p> Manage relationships with insurance providers, and other health plan benefit vendors <p> Stay current in employment laws and legislation relating to the HR Operations function and roll out any changes in a timely and effective manner <p> Responsible for overseeing HRMS data entry as well as electronic employee file and data maintenance in adherence with retention schedules <p> Collaborate with the payroll department on an ongoing basis to ensure effective administration of new hires, salary changes, leaves, benefit changes, departures and other HR data transactions <p> Resolve escalated and complex HRMS process issues <p> Generate ad-hoc reporting analytics or audits as required to support strategic business decisions and to monitor processes for continuous improvement <p> Assist in the development and maintenance of salary structures ensuring internal and external equity in compensation <p> Implementation of multiple collective agreements and employment contracts <p> Participate in projects, teams, and committees both in HR and for cross-functional initiatives. <p> Other duties as assigned by leadership <p>Required Qualifications: <p> University degree together with a Human Resources professional designation (CHRP/CPHR) <p> Minimum of 5-7 years related experience in progressive Human Resources roles, including prior leadership experience <p> Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, the Ontario Labour Relations Act and Service Canada Programs <p> A results-oriented approach to getting work done with constant deadlines <p> Demonstrated ability to provide sound advice, influence others and build effective relationships <p> Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to propose integrated solutions to complex issues <p> Excellent communication and organizational skills <p> Advanced proficiency with Google applications, Crystal Reports, Power BI, and HRMS systems <p> An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered <p>In addition, the following will be considered an asset: <p> Certification or specialization as an Employee Benefits Specialist, Job Evaluation Specialist, Compensation Management Specialist or Certified Compensation Professional are considered highly desirable <p> Previous school board experience <p>This is a full-time permanent position with an annual salary range of $83,530 - $106,427.
