We are seeking a Pschoeducational Consultant to join our clinical services team. Your role as a school-based Psychoeducational Consultant requires you to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, creativity, flexibility, and commitment in order to improve the lives and educational outcomes for students. <p>Responsibilities will include: <p>Engaging members of the school team with implementing evidence-based, evidence-informed interventions for students<p>Providing psychoeducational assessments including cognitive, academic and social/emotional testing<p>Providing consultations, for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, in regular classes and special education class settings<p>Providing professional development for others in the school and Board-wide as required <p>Being involved in preventative programs and other local and regional initiatives as they are developed<p>Working as a member of a school multidisciplinary team<p>Managing a busy student caseload and meeting schedule<p>Minimum Qualifications: <p>A Masters degree in Psychology from an accredited University<p>Strong verbal and written communication skills<p>Proven ability to provide psychological services for children and adolescents <p>Experience working as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team<p>Familiarity with mental health, special needs, and programming<p>Reliable transportation and willingness to work within all areas of HaltonPreferred Qualifications: <p>Registration or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario <p>Experience working in a school board setting<p>Experience working with students, including at risk students, parents, educators and other school-based staff<p>Proficiency in data management, analysis, reporting and presenting results<p>Experience supporting individuals from a variety of lived experiences (socio-economic, cultural, etc.,)<p>Lived experience as a member of an equity-deserving group<p>Broad understanding of and an inclusive approach to relationship building with diverse stakeholders in the community and in schoolsAppointments are conditional upon: <p>Provision of an original copy of a criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months<p>Agreement to comply with the Boards policies, procedures and code of conductPlease submit your cover letter and resume to Apply To Education by 4:00 pm on Monday, September 23, 2024 throu
